Criminology and Justice
If you are looking to pursue a career in criminology, justice, social service or prepare for graduate school, the comprehensive Criminology and Justice program will be of particular interest as it provides an extensive understanding of crime and the justice system.
You will learn to build an integrated approach to justice services through the examination of each of the justice system’s components, including the victim.
This program begins with a foundation year to provide you with a range of knowledge and skills and an introduction to different areas of social science, including:
- Criminal justice;
- Legal studies;
- Political science;
- Psychology; and
Beginning in second year, you will have the opportunity to continue with the Comprehensive program or to choose one of four areas of specialization.

- Punishment and Society;
- Social Justice and Conflict; and
- Women in the Criminal Justice System.
