Student clubs

Your university experience is about what you do in and out of the classroom, so why not join one of the many faculty relevant student clubs including:

The Circle@UOIT

The Circle@UOIT is the university’s first interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal operated

solely by students. This online bi-annual publication is designed to offer undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to showcase their work including:

  • Assignments;
  • Creative pieces;
  • Projects; and
  • Research papers.

The Social Science and Humanities Student Society

The Social Science and Humanities Student Society (SSHSS) acts as a governing body, which promotes and organizes activities for Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FSSH) students including:

  • Academic events;
  • Athletic events;
  • Professional events;
  • Recreational events; and
  • Social events.

The society also serves as a liaison between FSSH students and Your SA (student association), the community at large, and the administration through the society president.

The SSHSS offers an opportunity for students to expand their student life experience at UOIT. Through the society you can be the voice for the students of FSSH. Student government is an important aspect of any university career as it gives you an opportunity to grow as well.

Rotaract is part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world by organizing and facilitating fundraisers that will assist the surrounding community and international organizations.
